DS Jail Faces Charges of Acting as Imran Khan’s Messenger
Rawalpindi – Muhammad Akram, the former deputy superintendent of Adiala Jail, has been taken into custody for allegedly aiding Imran Khan, the incarcerated founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to sources, Akram was arrested on charges of assisting Khan, who is currently imprisoned at Adiala Jail.
Akram was removed from his position on June 20 and replaced by Deputy Superintendent Judicial Tahir Siddique Shah as the security supervisor responsible for overseeing Khan’s detention.
The arrest comes amid allegations that Akram was acting as a messenger for Khan, potentially compromising the security and integrity of the jail.

Further details about the arrest and charges against Akram are yet to be disclosed.
The Punjab home department (prison section), through a notification, had removed Muhammad Akram, directing him to leave the charge and report to the Prisons Department, Lahore.
