DR.Firdous Ashiq Awan Resigns from IPP Post

New York-Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan,  Former central information secretary of Istekham-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), has resigned from her position due to personal commitments and health issues. In her resignation letter dated November 20, 2024, addressed to IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan, Dr. Awan expressed gratitude for the support she received during her tenure.

Despite stepping down as central information secretary, Dr. Awan assured that she will continue to support the party as a member, prioritizing public and national interest . Her decision highlights the challenges of balancing personal life with demanding political roles.

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan’s political career spans multiple mainstream parties, including PPP and PTI, before joining IPP. Known for her advocacy on women’s rights and vocal style, her contributions to Pakistani politics are significant.
