Ishaq Dar, Wang Yi Call For Dialogue On Tensions

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, highlighted the urgent need to reduce tensions in the Middle East and surrounding regions during a phone conversation with Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister of China on Tuesday.

During the discussion, both leaders reviewed the evolving regional situation as well as wider global developments. They exchanged views on the current challenges and emphasized the importance of collective diplomatic efforts to maintain stability.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and its efforts aimed at promoting de-escalation and encouraging peaceful solutions in the region.

The two leaders agreed that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for resolving conflicts and reducing tensions. They stressed that all efforts should be guided by the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.

Dar and Wang Yi also reaffirmed the strong and longstanding ties between their countries, highlighting the importance of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation further and agreed to stay in close contact on regional and international issues.
