ISLAMABAD” Novak Djokovic is just two wins away from capturing his 100th career title after securing a 6-3, 7-6(4) victory over Sebastian Korda in the Miami Open quarterfinals. Despite trailing 5-2 in the second set, the Serbian tennis legend rallied with powerful serving, including an ace on match point, to seal the win. Djokovic’s performance made him the oldest ATP Masters 1000 semi-finalist, surpassing Roger Federer’s record. The 37-year-old will next face Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov in the semifinals, aiming for a record seventh Miami Open title.
In women’s action, world number one Aryna Sabalenka dominated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-2 to reach her first Miami Open final. Sabalenka displayed her usual power, winning 77% of her first-serve points and firing down six aces. She will face American Jessica Pegula, who triumphed in a gripping match against Filipino wildcard Alexandra Eala, 7-6(3), 5-7, 6-3. Pegula battled back from a break down in the second set and showed resilience in the decider, ending Eala’s impressive run.

Pegula, who has now reached her sixth WTA 1000 final, acknowledged Sabalenka’s prowess and expressed excitement for the upcoming showdown.
