Lahore-(Special Correspondent)- Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, chaired a meeting in the Assembly Chamber on the issue of disqualification references against 26 PTI members. The meeting was attended by suspended opposition lawmakers as well as members from the government side.

Speaker Ahmad Khan provided the suspended opposition members an opportunity to present their stance, while hearings were also held on the petitions submitted by government legislators.
During the meeting, representatives from both the government and opposition proposed initiating formal negotiations to resolve the matter. The Speaker welcomed the proposal, describing it as a positive and parliamentary step forward.
It was mutually agreed that a special committee comprising senior members from both sides would be formed to facilitate the dialogue process.
Speaker Ahmad Khan lauded the willingness of both parties to engage in talks, emphasizing the importance of constructive dialogue in resolving parliamentary disputes.
Parliamentary leaders from all sides are scheduled to meet on Sunday at the Punjab Assembly, with Speaker Ahmad Khan set to chair the session.
