DG ISPR: 274 Afghan Taliban killed during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq
Pakistan forces eliminate 274 Taliban fighters, destroy 115 military vehicles, and target key Afghan Taliban locations in precision operation.
ISPR – (Web Desk) – Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif Chaudhary, said on Friday that in the ongoing Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, 274 Taliban personnel and Khwarij fighters have been killed so far. He added that more than 400 insurgents have been injured.
Speaking at a press conference, the DG ISPR stated that Pakistan’s armed forces had destroyed 73 enemy posts and captured 17. Additionally, around 115 tanks, armored personnel carriers, and artillery pieces were reportedly destroyed.
He also paid tribute to Pakistan’s soldiers, noting that 12 personnel had embraced martyrdom defending the country’s territorial integrity. Another 27 soldiers were injured, and one remains missing in action.
Lt Gen Chaudhary described the Afghan Taliban as an internationally recognized terrorist organization responsible for recent attacks on Pakistan. He said the aggression was carried out in coordination with other terrorist groups, calling the Taliban the “master proxy” of these militant networks operating from Afghanistan.
“This master proxy came into action last night and in coordination with the terrorists of Fitna al khwarij,” he added.
The DG ISPR says that 22 locations in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Langarhar, Khost and Paktika were selected as specific targets for the attack.
Markets Crash as Pakistan-Afghanistan Conflict Escalates
“All these targets were very carefully selected based on intelligence,” he said. “They are military targets and great care was exercised so that there is no civilian collateral damage.”
He said that these targets included “core headquarters of Afghan Taliban forces, brigade headquarters, battalion headquarters, sector headquarters, ammunition depos, logistic bases, and refuges that provide shelter to terrorists and facilitators.”
