KPK: DG Health KPK deprives KPK from WB programme to upgrade hospitals. Inability negligence and corruption on part of Director General (DG) Health Services cost Khyber Pakhunkhaw hospitals from $64 million World Bank programme and loan facilities to renovate and upgrade the hospitals and healthcare infrastructure facilities of the province.It is also worth to be noted here that DG Health Services Department Khyber Pakhunkhaw Dr. Shaukat Ali was suspended from his office on 26th April 2024 on the malpractice charges of corruption, embezzlement and involvement in illegal postings and transfers at DG office level.Dr. Shaukat Ali and his aide Dr. Irshad owing to their inability, negligence and corrupt practices deprived Health Services Department KPK from $64 million loan and health assistance program from World Bank designed to upgrade hospitals and healthcare infrastructure facilities in Khyber Pakhunkhaw.Former DG Health Services Department Khyber Pakhunkhaw Dr Shaukat Ali had also been serving as head of a
World Bank programme to upgrade hospitals and healthcare infrastructure facilities in Khyber Pakhunkhaw alongwith Dr. Irshad as coordinator ofthr said program but owing to their negligence and inability, the programme was cancelled owing to delaying tactics.The targets set by World Bank for this programme were not achieved due to inability, negligence and ill intention on part of Dr. Shaukat Ali and Dr. Irshad as PC-1 targets were unable to meet by Health Services Department Khyber Pakhunkhaw relating medicines procurement and health infrastructure projects.Owing to delaying tactics on part of former DG Health Services Department Khyber Pakhunkhaw Dr Shaukat Ali, PLD department raised objections and subsequently procurement of Rs 2 billion cost medicines was also put in negligence and the said project, which was designed with the funding of world bank , could not even. Start.The 64 million dollar programme by World Bank, which was designed to upgrade hospitals and health infrastructure facilities in Khyber Pakhunkhaw was made closed and the province health infrastructure was deprived from fundings of World Bank to raise health facilities in the province.The incompetence and inability on part of former DG Health Services Department Khyber Pakhunkhaw has not only deprived millions of people of KPK with state of the art heath facilities but has also been involved in malpractices within the office of Health Services Department as inquiry and investigations has been called for his involvement in land procurement for medical college and transfer and postings at the office of DG Health Services Department Khyber Pakhunkhaw.

It is also worth mentioning here that World Bank’s Health Infrastructure project is continuing successfully in other three provinces of the country and dozens of hospitals have been upgraded in Punjab and Sindh while Khyber Pakhunkhaw hospitals were deprived from this two year programme of world bank designed to improved healthcare infrastructure facilities.High level inquiries has also been recommended by Khyber Pakhunkhaw government over negligence on world bank program, which was designed to upgrade hospitals and health infrastructure facilities in Khyber Pakhunkhaw.The incompetence and negligence on part of former DG Health Services Department Khyber Pakhunkhaw not only cost the health infrastructure facilities but the provincial government has also pay markup on $64 million funding program of Khyber Pakhunkhaw.
