Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Shares Government’s Vision with UK MPs
London-Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with British-Pakistani Members of Parliament at a dinner hosted by the High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal in London. The meeting aimed to strengthen Pakistan-UK relations and discuss ways to enhance bilateral trade and investment.
Deputy PM Ishaq Dar congratulated the newly elected British-Pakistani MPs and highlighted the strong historical and cultural links between Pakistan and the UK. He briefed the MPs on the government’s roadmap for economic revival, recalling Pakistan’s growth to the world’s 24th largest economy during PM Nawaz Sharif’s government.
Ishaq Dar emphasized the government’s commitment to putting Pakistan back on the path to economic growth and development, despite challenges and political instability. He sought suggestions from the MPs on increasing British foreign direct investment in Pakistan and enhancing bilateral trade.

The Deputy PM also thanked the MPs for raising the issues of atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and Gaza, and encouraged young British-Pakistanis to stay connected with their roots through the government’s new visa-free policy.
