Defense Minister dubs PTI a power-hungry party
He further said that six months back, the armed forces of Pakistan, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, inflicted a humiliating defeat on India.
ISLAMABAD: Referring to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Thursday that the party was power hungry.
In a tweet, he asked the PTI leaders to stop doing politics by sitting in the lap of India. “Show some grace,” the minister advised the party leaders.

He further said that six months back, the armed forces of Pakistan, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, inflicted a humiliating defeat on India. “US President Donald Trump by repeatedly referring to the downing of seven Indian jets has rubbed salt into the wounds of Indian PM Narendra Modi,” he said, and added, “And in the event of another war with India, Pakistan will give such a befitting response that not only the Indians but the PTI leaders will also mourn.”
Asif further said that if fighting for the supremacy of Islam and defending the country is Islamic conservatism, then the entire Pakistani population is proud of this label.
