Khyber Agency, Tirah Valley – A large quantity of explosives hidden inside a house in the Matray Dara area exploded, causing significant destruction and loss of life, local sources revealed. The blast caused the collapse of several mud houses, trapping many people under the rubble.
According to eyewitnesses, the militant hideout was surrounded by civilian homes, many of which were also destroyed in the powerful explosion. Police sources reported that 14 militants were killed in the blast, while initial reports indicate that around 10 women and children living in nearby houses also lost their lives.

Local police officer Zafar Khan stated that the compound was being used as a bomb factory by militant commanders Aman Gul and Masood Khan, who had recently stored weapons there.
Police further revealed that militants in this troubled region often use civilians as human shields and have hidden weapons in mosques across various districts.
Pakistani security forces continue their operations against the insurgent group Fatah al-Khawarij in Khyber, Bajaur, and other northern districts.
While reputable news outlets such as AP, Arab News, and DW are reporting this incident based on verified facts, Indian media outlets are allegedly distorting the information to malign Pakistan’s security institutions by spreading falsehoods and exaggerations.
It is also regrettable that some anti-state social media accounts, seemingly inspired by Indian media narratives, are actively spreading misinformation.
