Deadly Blasts Near Soleimani’s Grave: Death Toll Reaches 73

TEHRAN – In a tragic incident on the fourth anniversary of General Qassem Soleimani‘s assassination, at least 73 people have lost their lives and 171 others sustained injuries in two bombings near the Iranian Revolutionary Guards general’s tomb. The blasts occurred during a ceremony in the southeastern city of Kerman.
The Iranian state media reported that two explosions took place, causing multiple casualties. The semi-official Nournews mentioned that several petrol canisters exploded on the road leading to the cemetery, and authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
The ceremony, commemorating Soleimani’s death anniversary, drew hundreds of Iranians to the cemetery. Ambulances rushed to the scene to provide assistance.
