In response, the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations has advised disregarding any emails and videos until control over the compromised accounts is fully restored.
ISALAMABAD: Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations faced a cyber-attack last night, resulting in the hacking of its official email ID used by the Information Wing. Sources report that hackers also compromised the Mission’s YouTube channel.
The attack led to unauthorized access, with hackers altering the name, banners, and content of the YouTube channel. The breach occurred on Friday at 4 pm US time, impacting the operational integrity of the Information Wing’s digital platforms.
