Customs Enforcement Gadani Destroys Massive Haul of Illicit and Hazardous Goods

ISLAMABAD: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Gadani has carried out a major destruction operation at FEU Khurkhera, disposing of a huge volume of illicit, banned, and hazardous goods seized during enforcement actions. The destroyed items included 614.6 metric tons of betel nuts, 85.7 metric tons of gutka and supari, 21,261 outers of foreign-origin cigarettes, and 21.25 metric tons of China salt.
The operation was conducted with full transparency and in strict adherence to all legal and procedural requirements. The seized materials, considered harmful to public health, illegal under import laws, or unfit for consumption, were incinerated to prevent their infiltration into local markets.

The destruction reflects the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) commitment to curbing the distribution of dangerous and prohibited products.
The incineration ceremony was attended by officials and staff of Customs Enforcement Gadani, the Deputy Commissioner and DPO Hub, a Judicial Magistrate, and representatives from relevant departments, underscoring the collaborative effort to safeguard public safety and uphold regulatory compliance.
