Cristiano Ronaldo Declares 2026 World Cup as His Final Tournament

ISLAMABAD: Famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that the 2026 World Cup will be the final tournament of his career.

According to international news agencies, Ronaldo stated that the upcoming World Cup will be his last.

He also mentioned that he intends to retire from football within the next one or two years.

It is worth noting that Portugal has not yet qualified for the 2026 World Cup.

Earlier, the global football star had said in an interview that it is not possible to continue a brilliant career with the same intensity at the age of 40. Therefore, he is now considering retirement.

Ronaldo added, “I have been preparing for my future since I was 25–26 years old. I believe I will handle the pressures of retirement. Everything comes to an end, and I want to conclude my football career to spend more time with my family and raise my children.”

It is also noted that the Al-Nassr striker from Saudi Arabia has always been a prolific scorer, having scored a total of 952 goals for both Al-Nassr Club and the country.
