Hearing adjourned in case against KP CM Afridi

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad have issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in connection with a case involving alleged misleading statements against state institutions.

The court action was taken after the chief minister failed to appear before proceedings. Following his absence, the court directed authorities to arrest and produce him before the bench.

The case was heard by Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah, who later adjourned further hearings until April 16.

According to official details, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered a case against Afridi under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), alleging harm to institutional reputation through online statements.
