Court indicts Iman Mazari, Hadi Ali Chatha in controversial tweet case

ISLAMABAD: Iman Mazari and her husband, Hadi Ali Chatha, were indicted in a controversial tweet case.

The District and Sessions Court, Islamabad, heard the controversial tweet case against Iman Mazari and her husband, Hadi Ali Chatha.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Afzal Majuka indicted Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha.

The accused were not present in the court during the hearing, and their assistant counsel appeared on their behalf.

The court inquired as to where they were, to which the assistant counsel informed that they had come to the court earlier but had now gone for the hearing in Rawalpindi.

The court inquired as to whose permission they had taken. The judge read out the indictment and summoned the prosecution witnesses at 1:30 pm today itself.

The assistant counsel requested to provide a copy of the indictment, on which the court directed that an application for a copy be made as per the procedure. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till 1:30 pm.
