Islamabad Court Bars Arrest of PTI Founder Until February 18

Islamabad: (Web Desk)- The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad heard five cases against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, including an attempted murder case filed by former federal minister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha.

The court restrained authorities from arresting the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in the five cases until February 18. It also extended their pre-arrest bail in the related matters.

The PTI founder could not be presented before the court via video link. The court directed that he be produced either in person or through video link at the next hearing. The case was heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.

Arguments could not proceed due to the absence of the PTI founder and his counsel Salman Safdar. The court adjourned the hearing on the bail applications until February 18.

On behalf of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi, lawyers Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry and Shamsa Kiyani Advocate appeared before the court.

The PTI founder faces multiple cases, including those related to the May 9 incidents, attempted murder, and alleged fake receipts. Bushra Bibi is also facing a case over allegedly submitting fake receipts.
