Continuous Training Key to IESCO’s Excellence, Says Chief Executive

IESCO Chief Executive Reviews Training Programs at Regional Training Centre Islamabad

Islamabad: Chief Executive Officer of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Engineer Ch. Khalid Mahmood, visited the Regional Training Centre (RTC) Islamabad on Sunday to review ongoing training and refresher courses for officers and staff.

During the visit, the CEO met with officers participating in refresher training programs and assessed the overall standard and effectiveness of the courses being conducted. Principal RTC Muhammad Zahid briefed the chief executive on the objectives, structure, and content of the training programs.

Addressing the participants, Engineer Ch. Khalid Mahmood highlighted the importance of continuous training in view of rapid technological advancements and evolving customer care policies in the power sector. He stated that IESCO has earned a distinct identity in Pakistan’s power sector due to its well-trained workforce, adoption of modern technology, and improved customer service standards.

He emphasized that to maintain this position, continuous grooming of officers and staff through updated and high-quality training programs is essential. The chief executive added that the primary goal of refresher courses is to further enhance the technical and professional skills of the IESCO team, ultimately leading to improved performance and a positive organizational image.

The CEO also directed Director General HR & Admin Muhammad Kamran Sarwar to expand the scope of training programs and ensure the provision of quality training opportunities for officers and staff at all levels.
