Construction Ban Imposed in Murree to Safeguard Environment
MURREE: In a decisive move to protect the natural beauty of Malika Kohsar, Murree, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Aamir Khattak has enforced an immediate ban on all construction activities. The ban, invoked under Section 4-D of the Punjab Civil Administration Act, aims to curb soil erosion, encroachment, deforestation, and landslides in the picturesque area.
According to the notification issued by Commissioner Aamir Khattak’s office, the ban will remain effective for 90 days or until the completion of the Murree Master Plan. It explicitly exempts government projects while extending to areas adjacent to the Murree Expressway.
