Speaking at a recent event, Dar emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to achieving the Commonwealth’s goals, which align with the country’s own priorities. He highlighted the importance of connectivity in promoting economic growth and development, as well as Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate change and its efforts to build resilience.

Dar noted that Pakistan is already taking steps to enhance regional connectivity through various initiatives, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He also stressed the need for collective action to address the challenges posed by climate change.

Commonwealth Secretary-General to Visit Pakistan

The Finance Minister’s statement comes as the Commonwealth prepares for its upcoming Heads of Government Meeting, where member states will gather to discuss key issues and set priorities for the organization.

Pakistan’s commitment to the Commonwealth agenda reflects its desire to strengthen ties with fellow member states and contribute to global efforts on key issues like connectivity and climate resilience.
