Complete ban on video recording in Islamabad High Court corridors

New rules at the Islamabad High Court stop all video recording by the public and media to control activity within the building.

Islamabad – (Special Correspondnt / Web Desk) – The Islamabad High Court has introduced a new rule that stops all video recording inside the court building. This decision affects everyone, including journalists, lawyers, and the public. No one is permitted to make videos in any part of the court premises.

This ban is very wide-ranging. It includes courtrooms, hallways, waiting areas, and offices. The rule applies to both professional TV cameras and the cameras on mobile phones. This means both official news recording and personal videos are now not allowed.

The court has also set clear rules for mobile phones. They must be kept on silent mode at all times. Any effort to live stream video or record court activities will be seen as breaking this new rule. Live video coverage from inside the court is now completely prohibited.

To make sure the rule is followed, the court’s security team can take quick action. If they see someone recording a video, they have the power to take away the recording device. They can also ask the person to leave the court building.
