Justice Delayed: Islamabad Police Yet to Act on Student Abuse Case.
A disturbing incident of torture and harassment of college students has come to light in Model Town, Humak, Islamabad. The victim’s father has filed a complaint at Hamak police station, alleging that his daughter and her friend were subjected to physical and emotional abuse by the accused.
According to the complaint, the girls were locked in the hostel from 8 pm to 11 pm and were beaten by being turned upside down. The accused would scream loudly to silence the girls whenever they made noise due to the violence. Furthermore, the students were harassed during their three-day confinement. After the ordeal, the accused threatened the victims not to disclose the incident to anyone .
The victim’s family is seeking action against Principal Abdul Quddus and the CEO of Cadet College, holding them responsible for the heinous acts. However, despite the complaint, Islamabad police have yet to provide justice to the affected students. Alarmingly, the influential accused are exerting pressure on the victim’s family to settle the matter peacefully .
The Inspector General of Police, Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has chaired meetings to address similar concerns, emphasizing the need for swift action. The police department has also distributed welfare money among families of affected officials and police personnel .
It is crucial for the authorities to take immediate action, ensuring the safety and well-being of the students and holding the perpetrators accountable for their actions. The victims deserve justice, and the police must work to prevent such incidents in the future.
