COAS Vows Stronger Engagement with Overseas Pakistanis for a Secure and Prosperous Pakistan

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), is currently on an official visit to the United States. As part of his engagements, the Army Chief met with the Overseas Pakistani community in Washington DC, where he was warmly received by a large gathering of expatriates.

The overseas Pakistanis expressed their strong admiration and support for the Armed Forces of Pakistan, particularly acknowledging their exceptional performance during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos / Marka-e-Haq. The community praised the professionalism, courage, and sacrifices of the military personnel in defending the country.

During the interaction, COAS General Asim Munir expressed deep appreciation for the overseas Pakistanis, recognizing their crucial role as ambassadors of Pakistan. He lauded their contributions to the nation’s economy through remittances and investments, as well as their achievements in various professional fields, which have enhanced Pakistan’s global image.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the diaspora to share their experiences, concerns, and suggestions with the Army Chief. General Munir emphasized the importance of ongoing engagement with the overseas Pakistani community, underscoring the need for continued collaboration to address shared challenges and build a stronger, more united nation.
