COAS Meets PM Shahbaz Sharif Ahead of Investment Council Meeting

The meeting underscores the collaboration between civil and military leadership in advancing economic development and attracting foreign investment.

Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in a significant development ahead of the apex committee meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.

It is noteworthy that the meeting was held prior to the apex committee meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Senior military officials also participated in the meeting, with Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir specially attending.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif remarked that the Special Investment Facilitation Council is an important platform that will be kept operational, and the apex committee of the SIFC has effectively and extensively worked in the past.

He emphasized the significance of this platform for economic development and foreign investment, stressing the need for everyone to come together to address economic challenges in a timely manner. He lauded the extraordinary efforts of the military leadership in the success of this platform and the promotion of foreign investment.
