COAS Hosts Dinner to Honour Unity and Operation Marsoos Heroes

Youth, Media, and Experts Praised as ‘Steel Wall’ in Marsoos Conflict

Rawalpindi — In a solemn and dignified ceremony, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), hosted a dinner in Rawalpindi to honour Pakistan’s political leadership, the Armed Forces, and the resilient spirit of the nation during the pivotal Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.

The event brought together the highest echelons of Pakistan’s civil and military leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, federal ministers, provincial governors and chief ministers, service chiefs, senior officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as political party leaders and top government officials.

Attendees paid tribute to the leadership that navigated the country through a defining moment in its history, lauded the valor of the Armed Forces, and praised the steadfast patriotism of the Pakistani people.

In his address, the COAS expressed deep appreciation for the political leadership’s strategic vision during Marka-e-Haq and highlighted the exceptional inter-services coordination that led to operational success in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.

Field Marshal Munir emphasized the critical role played by the nation’s youth and media in countering India’s disinformation campaign, calling them a “steel wall” against foreign propaganda. He also acknowledged the vital contributions of Pakistani scientists, engineers, and diplomats, whose expertise and commitment were pivotal throughout the conflict.

The evening served not only as a moment of national recognition but also as a strong message of unity, reaffirming the country’s collective resolve to move forward with strength, stability, and purpose.
