COAS Reaffirms Strong Pakistan-Iran Brotherly Ties

RAWALPINDI – : Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday to discuss key regional and security issues impacting both nations.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting featured constructive dialogue on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, with a special emphasis on the mutual security challenges faced by Pakistan and Iran.

A review of the existing Pak-Iran border security mechanism was also undertaken, with the goal of further strengthening bilateral coordination and ensuring stability along the shared frontier.

COAS General Asim Munir reaffirmed the importance of the brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Iran, underscoring the strong historical, cultural, and religious bonds that unite the two countries.

Both sides expressed a mutual commitment to remain engaged in order to deepen bilateral cooperation and collaborate on initiatives aimed at fostering regional peace and development.

The Iranian foreign minister acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s consistent efforts in promoting peace and stability across the region.
