COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Egyptian President to Boost Bilateral Cooperation

Rawalpindi— Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, met with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the Itihadia Presidential Palace in Cairo, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Saturday.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed bilateral relations and reaffirmed the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Egypt. The COAS commended the Egyptian leadership for its vital role in maintaining regional peace and stability, while President el-Sisi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and proactive contributions to global and Muslim Ummah affairs.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination on mutual strategic interests and expanding people-to-people exchanges. The meeting also highlighted the two nations’ shared history of cooperation and their commitment to further strengthening ties, particularly in the areas of socio-economic development, technology, and security collaboration.
