RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – In Rawalpindi, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed that Pakistan will adopt zero tolerance toward any violence triggered by developments in foreign countries. The remarks came during his interaction with ulema from the Ahl-e-Tasheeh community, where discussions focused on national security and promoting social harmony.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief emphasized the important role of religious scholars in fostering unity, discouraging sectarianism, and countering misinformation and externally driven narratives aimed at destabilizing the country.
Referring to Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, he reiterated that Pakistan will not allow its territory or neighboring regions to be used for terrorism against its citizens. He stressed that authorities in Afghanistan must ensure their soil is not used for hostile activities, while Pakistan will continue intelligence-based operations to eliminate threats.

Field Marshal Munir also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote regional de-escalation and called on ulema to play a constructive role in preventing extremism. He underscored that religious sentiments must not be exploited to incite unrest.
The participating scholars expressed support for peace and stability, strongly condemning violence in the name of religion and reaffirming their backing for law enforcement agencies in maintaining order across the country.
