COAS as Chief Guest in Royal Military Academy passing out parade is great honor for Pakistan, Elahi
Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the participation of the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa in the passing out parade of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as a chief guest is a great honour for Pakistan and the nation. CM in a statement said that no other chief of army staff of any country has been invited as a chief guest in the passing out parade of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He stated that the Chief of Army Staff invitation as a chief guest in the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is in fact recognition of his reforms being taken relating to the army and eradicating terrorism from the country. Pervaiz Elahi lauded that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s abilities were not only acknowledged at the international level but he has also become a symbol and an identity of peace. Cadets of 26 countries participated in the passing out parade in which the participation of Pakistani cadets is a matter of pride for the nation and has also strengthened the relations between Pakistan and Great Britain, CM concluded.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and MNA Moonis Elahi met with the chairman PTI Imran Khan at CMO today in which matters pertaining to mutual interest, administrative affairs, political situation and steps to provide relief to the people of Punjab came under discussion. Matter with regard to hold tomorrow’s public rally also came under discussion during the meeting. Fawad Chaudhry and Shafqat Mahmood were also present on the occasion. Imran Khan acknowledged the Punjab government’s decision to lift the ban on timing for the business centres to do business and also appreciated the steps to launch Ehsaas Rashan Rayat Programme for the people of Punjab.
Imran Khan also lauded the Punjab government’s steps under the leadership of CM Pervaiz Elahi for making excellent security arrangements on Muharram-ul-Haram especially on the eve of Youm-e-Ashur. CM gave briefing with regard to the steps being taken by the Punjab government to provide relief to the masses and especially about Ehsaas Rashan Rayat Programme. CM also apprised Chairman PTI Imran Khan about the steps being taken to maintain law and order situation in the province.
