CM wants Rawalpindi Ring Road completion on time

Lahore(Tahir Chuhdary)_Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid another visit to Rawalpindi Ring Road,
This is his third visit to the project in 25 days. The Chief Minister reviewed the work pace and reiterated resolve to ensure better public service delivery.0
He asked the Rawalpindi Commissioner and FWO officials to ensure timely completion of the projects.
He said that the completion of the ring road would provide immense convenience to the citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted an aerial inspection of the entire 38 km long route and observed the ongoing works.
On the occasion, he was briefed that Rawalpindi Ring Road is 38.3 km long and consists of six lanes.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Nespak has also provided the necessary drawing related to the ring road project.
The land required for the ring road has been completely handed over to the contractor for the construction work.
Heavy machinery has arrived for the construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road and the work is proceeding at full speed.
Construction of subways, drainage channels and road sections started.
Colonel Ayaz of FWO gave a briefing to Chief Minister Mohsin while the Rawalpindi Commissioner, RPO, CPO, Deputy Commissioner and FWO officials were also present on the occasion.

A ceremony was Friday held in the Chief Minister’s office to assign the new ranks to five ASPs who were promoted to the post of SP.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar assigned the ranks to the promoted police officers.
The families of the promoted officers were also specially invited to the function. Salman Zafar, Taimur Khan, Bushra Nisar, Sidra Khan, and Munaza Karamat were promoted to the ranks of SP.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the promoted police officers and expressed his best wishes for them.
He said that promotion is the right of every officer and official, including the police department, and will continue to encourage professional, hardworking, and honest officers.
Punjab Chief Minister said the police officers should devote all their abilities to serve the people and solve their problems. The chief minister said the police have to fulfil the expectations of the public with better service delivery, and this will change the police station culture.
Additional IG Special Branch Zulfiqar Hameed, Additional IGs, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Secretary to Chief Minister and top police officials also participated in the ceremony.
