Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Announces Major Reforms in Punjab

Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has declared significant measures to eradicate corruption and boost agricultural and healthcare sectors in Punjab.

During an event in Phool Nagar, Maryam Nawaz asserted that the rampant corruption in wheat procurement has been effectively halted under her leadership. She assured the public that there is no wheat crisis and announced an unprecedented PKR 400 billion package for farmers to be rolled out within the next four months. This initiative is set to be the largest of its kind in the region’s history, aiming to further reduce inflation in Punjab.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the efforts to make essential goods more affordable, attributing the reduced prices to the policies promised by Nawaz Sharif. She highlighted the challenges of curbing inflation and the efforts undertaken to achieve this goal.

In her speech, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a new rural health center, part of a broader plan to revolutionize healthcare across Punjab. She revealed that there are currently 300 rural health centers, with plans to transform all provincial hospitals in the coming months. This includes addressing shortages of doctors and nurses, deploying mobile clinics, and ensuring medical services reach even the remotest areas.

Furthermore, a massive infrastructure development program has been launched, targeting the repair and construction of 590 roads throughout Punjab, ensuring no road remains in disrepair.

Maryam Nawaz underscored her commitment to education and health, noting that her primary focus is on these sectors. She criticized politically motivated police postings and reiterated her dedication to the welfare of Punjab’s residents over political interests.

Additionally, she announced initiatives to enhance technical education for the youth, with plans to establish a technical college in the area. Maryam Nawaz, along with Shahbaz Sharif, reaffirmed their dedication to continuing Nawaz Sharif’s development agenda, despite the political challenges faced by their party. She urged the public to support the ongoing development journey under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership.
