CM Punjab Launches ‘Maryam Ki Dastak App’ for Doorstep Services
New App Provides Access to Government Services in Punjab
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab (CM) Maryam Nawaz has launched the “Maryam Ki Dastak App”, which aims to provide various services directly to people’s doorsteps, here on Tuesday.
As per the details, the “Maryam Ki Dastak App” will offer a range of services, including: issuance of domicile, e-stamping, birth/death certificates, marriage/divorce certificates, vehicle registration/transfer and tax payment.
Residents of Punjab can avail the services at their homes as the representatives of the government departments will arrive at their homes and prepare the necessary documents. After completion of the process, the certificates will be delivered at the applicant’s doorstep.
This initiative tackles the longstanding problems of multiple visits to government offices, long queues, conflicting information and commission agent mafia, providing citizens with a robust doorstep service delivery system.
Through the Knock Initiative, citizens can schedule representative visits through user-friendly web portals or mobile applications, streamlining the process and reducing frustrations.
The app introduces commission-based representatives, ensuring efficiency and citizen satisfaction, and a feedback and rating system, promoting accountability and continuous improvement. It also offers multiple online payment options, increasing accessibility and convenience.
Speaking at the launch event, Maryam Nawaz said that the Punjab government is committed to providing relief to the people of Punjab, and the “Dastak” app is a step in that direction.
Maryam Nawaz announced that 70 thousand jobs will be given to the youth through this platform.
He also informed that Ramadan package and field hospitals have been started successfully and now essential medicines are being delivered at the doorsteps of people.
Additionally, two months of medicines are being provided to cancer patients at their doorsteps.
The Chief Minister added that she personally visits the ground to ensure that services are being delivered effectively.
