
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the formation of a new Sports Board in the province.
Provincial Sports Minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar will serve as the Chairman of the Punjab Sports Board, with Owais Rauf from the education sector as the Vice Chairman.
Olympic star athlete Arshad Nadeem has been appointed as a member of the board, along with tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq and former women’s cricket team captain Sana Mir.
Other members of the board include Olympian Khawaja Junaid, MNA Saad Waseem, MPA Muhammad Ajmal Khan Chandia, Arshad Sattar, Amara Rabab, and Waseem Akhtar. Journalists Umar Aslam and Asad Zia are also part of the new team.
Punjab sports minister orders for starting sports activities
Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister, stating that the Punjab Sports Board has included top athletes and experienced Olympians. He thanked the Chief Minister for selecting the best and most professional members for the board.
