CM Distributes Laptops, Vows to Improve Education and Empower Youth

CM lauded Karakoram University’s contribution to higher education and research in Gilgit-Baltistan, calling it a national asset.
Gilgit, Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Haji Gulbar Khan, distributed laptops to 660 students at Karakoram International University under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme. Addressing the ceremony, CM Khan emphasized the need to modernize the education system to meet contemporary demands.
“The laptop scheme will play a vital role in bringing education in line with modern requirements,” he said. “Empowering students with technology is an investment in the future of Pakistan.”
He lauded Karakoram University’s contribution to higher education and research in Gilgit-Baltistan, calling it a national asset. He pledged collaborative efforts for the university’s welfare.
“Recognizing the university’s challenges, the provincial government has formed a cabinet committee to reinstate the Karakoram Board,” he announced. “This will soon make university education accessible at residents’ doorsteps and address examination-related issues.”
