CJP Justice Qazi Faez Isa Receives Threatening Letter
The letters contained powder and were in the form of threatening shapes.
Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, has reportedly received a threatening letter, according to private television channels.
In addition to the Chief Justice, three Supreme Court judges have also received threatening letters.
Justices Athar Minallah, Jamal Mandokhel, and Aminuddin Khan are among those who received the letters. All four letters were received on April 1st at the Supreme Court.
The letters contained powder and were in the form of threatening shapes. The letters have been handed over to the Counter Terrorism Department for investigation.
Lahore High Court Judges also Received Suspicious Letters
In a development following a similar incident at the Islamabad High Court involving eight judges, three judges of the Lahore High Court have also received suspicious letters, according to reports from private television channels.
The recipients of the letters are members of the administrative committee of the Lahore High Court. The names mentioned in the letters are Justice Shujaat Ali, Justice Shahid Bilal, and Justice Aliya Neelum.
Upon receiving the letters, police and security officials promptly arrived at the Lahore High Court premises. Security measures at the Lahore High Court have been further intensified in response to the incident.

Police and security agencies have taken possession of the letters and sealed them. According to sources, the letters were delivered by an employee of a private courier company to the High Court.
Staff members of both judges have been instructed to receive letters only through representatives of the private courier company. The employee of the courier company has been taken into custody, and an investigation is currently underway.
