Civil, Military Officials Unite in National Day Ceremony
Nation’s Leaders Unite for 78th Independence Day Ceremony
National Day- (Special Correspondent/Web desk) Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and the triumph of “Marka-e-Haq” are being marked with a grand ceremony at Jinnah Sports Stadium, Islamabad. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Army Chief Field Marshal Gen Syed Asim Munir are the guests of honour. The event is attended by top civil and military leaders, federal ministers, lawmakers, foreign ambassadors, Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Troops from the Pakistan Army, SSG Commandos, Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Punjab Rangers, and FC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took part in a ceremonial march past. Fighter jets from the Pakistan Air Force flew overhead, saluting the President and inspiring the crowd to chant, “Long live Pakistan.”
Military contingents from Azerbaijan and Türkiye also joined the ceremony, delivering impressive march past displays. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Senate, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan, and a large number of citizens.
