According to the details, the DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari issued an important message for the federal capital residents traveling to their hometowns during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, a public relations officer said.

In his video message, the DIG Operations Islamabad said that, the Islamabad Capital Police is continuously engaged in ensuring the safety of residents’ lives, property, and dignity.

He further said that, citizens leaving for Eid holidays should leave their homes with appropriate security arrangements, ensure proper lighting inside and outside the house, lock the main gate from the inside, and install CCTV cameras around the house.

Ensures proper arrangements for the safekeeping of valuable items such as jewelry and cash, checks locks and doors before leaving the house, and informs the newspaper vendor not to throw newspapers at the house when leaving. They should also refrain from activities that indicate their absence from home, he added.

At the end, he said that, before leaving citizens must inform the relevant police station, lock all windows, doors, and open areas properly. Insha’Allah, we will make every effort to ensure the protection of your lives and property, while utilizing all available resources.

Search and combing operation conducted at Sihala Police Station jurisdiction

Islamabad Capital Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a search and combing operation at Sihala police station jurisdiction, a public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directives of SSP Counter Terrorism Department Islamabad, the search and combing operations are being conducted in different areas of the city, to ensure the safety and security of the Islamabad citizens.

Following these orders, a search and combing operation was conducted in different areas of Sihala police station by CTD and local police teams.

During the search and combing operation 80 suspicious persons, 55 houses, 12 motorcycles and 07 vehicles were thoroughly checked.

SSP CTD Islamabad said that, the purpose of the search and combing operations was to heighten the security in the federal capital. All zonal officers were directed to continue these operations in their respective areas. Citizens are also requested to cooperate with police during the checking.
