Director of the China-Pakistan Study Centre at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Dr. Talat Shabbir, stated on Tuesday that the visit of the Chinese Premier to Pakistan will serve as a transformative moment for the nation, signaling the start of a new chapter for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In an exclusive interview with PTV News, he emphasized that CPEC is set to be a crucial driver for Pakistan’s economy, projecting the creation of millions of jobs by 2030. He noted that the upcoming summit is anticipated to bring about a new era of collaboration and development for Pakistan, positioning CPEC at the heart of this strategic alliance.
Dr. Shabbir highlighted that hosting the prestigious SCO meeting in Islamabad represents a significant diplomatic milestone for Pakistan, reflecting major successes in its foreign policy efforts. He remarked that this event not only demonstrates Pakistan’s ability to convene influential nations but also emphasizes its increasing prominence on the global stage.
