Chinese Ambassador meets Fazl to discuss bilateral ties
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong and Maulana Fazlur Rehman Discuss Regional Peace, CPEC and the Future of Pak-China Relations
Chinese & Pakistan – (Web Desk) – Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong paid a visit to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday. The meeting took place at Maulana’s residence in Islamabad. They sat together for a long time and talked about some very serious issues.
Most of the conversation was about what is happening in the region right now. The growing tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran came up as a major concern. Both leaders were clearly worried about the attacks on Iran. They called these attacks a direct violation of international law and said Iran’s sovereignty must be respected.
Both sides agreed on one thing very strongly. Peace cannot come through war or pressure. Dialogue is the only real solution. They stressed that countries must talk to each other and find peaceful ways to settle their differences.
They also raised a serious warning. If the fighting does not stop soon the consequences will go far beyond the Middle East. Europe and the rest of the world will also feel the pain. The economic fallout could be huge and long lasting.
The meeting ended on a note of shared concern and a mutual hope for stability in the region.
During the meeting, both leaders highlighted the importance of continued cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), noting that alignment in perspectives between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and China would contribute positively to regional peace and development.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Jiang said that Pakistan-China friendship has endured through all circumstances and expressed confidence that joint efforts could help shape a better future for the region.
Pakistan and US strengthen economic ties across sectors
Maulana Fazlur Rehman reaffirmed his party’s commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-China relations, stating that JUI-F has played a constructive role in promoting bilateral ties and will continue to do so.
He also stressed the importance of fostering brotherly relations among neighbouring countries, calling it a necessity for regional stability.
A luncheon was also hosted by Maulana Fazlur Rehman in honour of the visiting Chinese delegation
