China pushes for dialogue, warns against war in Middle East

BEIJING: (Web Desk) – China has urged Iran to prioritize dialogue over conflict as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East.

According to a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Yi held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi, during which both leaders discussed the evolving regional situation.

Wang Yi expressed concern over rising instability and emphasized that lasting solutions cannot be achieved through war. He stressed that all parties should seize every opportunity to initiate peace talks and resolve disputes through diplomacy rather than force.

He also warned that continued tensions in the Middle East could threaten not only regional stability but also the global economy.

During the conversation, Abbas Araqchi shared Iran’s perspective on the current developments, while both sides agreed to remain in close contact and continue diplomatic engagement.

China has consistently advocated for an immediate ceasefire and a political resolution, maintaining that dialogue is the only path toward sustainable peace in the region.
