China Supports Islamic Countries Protecting Developing Nations’ Rights
China pledges support to developing nations, promoting peace and security through diplomacy while strengthening ties with Islamic countries.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Y – (Web Desk) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized during talks with OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha that China is committed to supporting developing countries and safeguarding their interests. He highlighted China’s focus on building stronger regional security through political and diplomatic solutions, rather than conflict.
This statement comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, where Iran has issued warnings of a possible all-out war in response to attacks, and U.S. President Donald Trump has mentioned sending a naval armada to the region. Recent protests in the area have already resulted in at least 5,000 casualties, underscoring the urgency of diplomatic intervention.
China has historically backed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a bloc of 57 nations, largely through investments linked to its Belt and Road Initiative.

By strengthening economic and political ties with these countries, China positions itself as a supportive ally of the Global South, offering an alternative approach to U.S. policies. Wang Yi’s remarks reinforce China’s desire to act as a mediator and promote stability, while also protecting the rights and development interests of less powerful nations.
