China Offers Mediation Amid Pakistan-Afghanistan Rising Tensions
China offers to mediate Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions, urging dialogue, restraint, and diplomatic solutions to ensure regional peace and stability.
China – Pak vs Afghan – (Web Desk) – China has voiced serious concern over the growing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, offering to step in and help calm the situation through dialogue and peaceful diplomacy.
According to international media reports, Beijing expressed sorrow over the recent loss of lives and urged both countries to show patience and avoid further escalation. Chinese officials stressed the importance of restraint and mutual understanding during this sensitive time.
The Chinese government also signaled that it is ready to step up diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions along the border and encourage constructive talks between the two sides.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said China is closely following the developments and supports resolving differences through communication, consultation, and diplomatic engagement rather than confrontation.
“China is a close neighbor of both countries and attaches great importance to peace and stability in the region,” she stated, adding that Beijing is ready to play a constructive role in reducing tensions at the diplomatic level.
The spokesperson further said China remains in contact with its “friends” Pakistan and Afghanistan and hopes both sides will exercise restraint and settle disputes through negotiations.

Mao also expressed hope that both countries would ensure the safety and security of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions operating within their territories, highlighting Beijing’s strategic and economic interests in the region.
