Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, stressed the importance of maintaining a stable population growth rate for prosperity and sustainable development. In her message on World Population Day, she reiterated the commitment to addressing the challenges posed by the rising population.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted the need to understand the impact of population growth on resources and the environment. She emphasized that balancing population and resources is crucial for achieving prosperity.
She called for a renewed commitment to tackle the challenges of population growth, noting that population management is not only the government’s responsibility but also a societal duty. Effective population welfare is linked to sustainable development, economic growth, and poverty alleviation.
