Chief Justice Yahya Afridi Leads Meeting on Judicial Reforms
Meeting Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthen Legal Framework
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Chief Justice Yahya Afridi presided over a high-level meeting attended by the heads of various departments within the Supreme Court. The meeting primarily focused on reviewing the implementation of the e-filing system and discussing necessary judicial reforms.
According to a statement issued after the meeting, Chief Justice Afridi emphasized the importance of enhancing accessibility, accountability, and transparency within the judicial system. He stated that the goal of judicial reforms is not only to alleviate the burden of pending cases but also to ensure the timely delivery of justice to litigants.
“Litigants are the primary stakeholders in the justice system, and treating them with respect improves the judiciary’s perception,” Chief Justice Afridi remarked during the meeting.
The meeting also reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening the legal framework and ensuring the efficiency of court procedures to further improve the justice system.
