
CHENGDU, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) – (Specail / Web Desk) – The World Games 2025 officially kicked off its first day of competition on August 6 in Chengdu, located in southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
Before the women’s Group A floorball match between Thailand and Sweden, local performers entertained the crowd with a lively opening performance. The match brought energy and excitement to the opening day of the Games.
Rungnapa Kebsomrong of Thailand (5th from left) celebrated a goal with her teammates, showing great spirit during the match.
Swedish player Hanna Nordstrand (center) battled for the ball against Thailand’s Nelly Johansson (left) and Nathalie Olmats in a tightly contested match.
Sweden’s players also celebrated after scoring, showing strong teamwork and energy on the field.
Wilma Johansson of Sweden made a powerful shot and scored during the match, keeping the crowd on edge.

On the men’s side, Latvia’s goalkeeper Gabriels Silins (5th from left) made key saves during the Group A match against Switzerland.
Matteo Steiner of Switzerland fired a shot, helping keep Switzerland’s offense strong.
Later, Steiner (right) and teammate Noel Seiler celebrated a goal, bringing energy to their team’s performance in Chengdu.
