Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced crescent Jamadi-us-Sani sighted in Pakistan

Lahore: (Staff Reporter) The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the crescent Jamadi-us-Sani has been sighted in Pakistan. In pursuance of the decision of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, the first Jamadi-us-Sani shall commence on Sunday, Dec 25. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Saturday met at Awan Awqaf Shah Chirag Building near the High Court, Lahore under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

According to the source, Ministry of Religious Affairs of Pakistan Syed Mushahid Hussain Khalid, Ministry of Science and Technology and Zain-ul-Abedin, Meteorological Department Chief Sardar Sarfraz, SPARCO Ghulam Murtaza and Meteorological Department of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam were in contact through a telephonic link.

As per details the evidence of moon sightings has been received from different places in Pakistan including Quetta, Karachi, Peshawar, and other places. Therefore, it was decided by consensus that the 1st Jamadi-us-Sani 1444 AH would be held on Sunday.
