CDA Recovers 900+ Kanals of Encroached State Land

High-Level CDA Meeting Reviews Action Against Illegal Constructions in Islamabad Impact-Focused

Islamabad-(News Desk)-An important meeting regarding actions against encroachments and illegal constructions was held at the CDA Headquarters on Friday, chaired by Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Board Member Admin Talat Mahmood, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Deputy Director General Enforcement Dr. Anam Fatima, DC CDA and other senior officers.

The meeting reviewed measures to keep the Federal Capital Islamabad free from illegal constructions and encroachments, in line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi.Briefing Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on the progress of the anti-encroachment operation, the relevant officers informed that under the supervision of Deputy Director General Enforcement, an operation was recently conducted against the land mafia in the Diplomatic Enclave and adjoining areas, including the former Muslim Colony.

During this special campaign, over 900 kanals of valuable estate land were retrieved from illegal occupants.The briefing said that in light of the Islamabad High Court’s orders, all local individuals were given an opportunity to be heard according to the law for the retrieval of state land. In this regard, on the instructions of the Chairman CDA, a site office was also established. Relevant staff from CDA’s Revenue and Planning Wings were also deployed at the site office to hear the legitimate claims of local individuals and the concerned staff not only listened to everyone’s claims but also resolved them according to the law.The briefing further said that individuals possessing any documents related to ownership rights according to the law can contact the CDA.

It was also informed that CDA Enforcement has the full support of the Planning Wing, District Administration and Islamabad Police in all operations.Briefing the meeting, it was said that the process of registering FIR’s against the land mafia responsible for illegal constructions in this regard is also continuing rapidly. The meeting was informed that these actions are extremely important for protecting valuable estate land, preventing future encroachments and ensuring transparency.

FIR’s have been registered against those involved in occupying valuable state land and misleading innocent citizens.Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that the legitimate claims of citizens should be reviewed according to the law and every possible facility should be ensured. He said that he is fully committed to ensuring organized urban planning, protecting state land.
