CDA, MCI Begin Citywide Drive Against Illegal Advertisements

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A citywide operation has been launched to eliminate illegal advertisement boards and signages across the Federal Capital, Islamabad. Acting on the directives of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a large-scale cleanliness and enforcement campaign is currently underway against unauthorized advertisements, signboards and wall-chalking.

The initiative aims to restore Islamabad’s organized outlook while safeguarding its natural and scenic beauty. Under the joint operation of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and CDA, illegal advertisements are being removed not only from commercial centres and markets but also from residential areas. Additionally, unauthorized signboards installed along roadsides, poles and public infrastructure are being permanently dismantled.

Chief Officer MCI Dr Anam Fatima stated that legal action has been initiated against individuals and groups involved in installing advertisements without official approval. She confirmed that FIRs are being registered against violators to ensure strict enforcement of the law and discourage future violations.
