CAVA Volleyball League: Turkmenistan to face Pakistan in final today

Pakistan secured their fifth consecutive win by defeating Iran with a score of 3-1.

KARACHI: Turkmenistan secured a place in the final of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Nation’s Volleyball League and will face Pakistan in finals on Friday (today).

In their fifth match, the Central Asian state defeated Sri Lanka, winning 3-0 with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-19 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Pakistan secured their fifth consecutive win by defeating Iran with a score of 3-1. The set scores were 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, and 25-20. The hosts have consistently delivered strong performances throughout the tournament.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan emerged victorious over Kyrgyzstan with a score of 3-0, with set scores of 20-25, 20-25, and 19-25. Interestingly, the victory will not affect the final standings.

Kyrgyzstan is scheduled to play against Sri Lanka on Friday for the third-place spot, as Pakistan and Turkmenistan will face off in the finals for the CAVA Nation’s Volleyball League championship title.

The final match between Pakistan and Turkmenistan will take place at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad at 4:30 pm.
