Karachi – With Eid ul Adha approaching, the Northern Bypass cattle market in Karachi is seeing a surge in camel trading, drawing large crowds of buyers and spectators.
Over 5,000 camels have been brought in from various parts of Sindh and Punjab, creating a buzz in one of the city’s busiest livestock markets. Breeds like Koh-e-Murree, Laari, Dachi, and the rare black camel are proving especially popular among buyers this year.
Vendors say prices range from Rs500,000 to as high as Rs3 million, depending on the camel’s size, breed, and physical features. The impressive appearance and stature of many of these camels are turning heads and making them the centerpiece of market activity.
